Was the "AFTERBURNER" ever built?

Hi Vlad,

It's been such a long time since my last post so I forget what was meant by the "afterburner". My latest efforts are concentrated on a detector that uses the energy of the coil pulse to generate oscillations that provide to means to sample the received signal repeatedly--making use of the energy that is simply burned up in the damping circuit in a conventional PI detector. Is that what the afterburner refers to? At any rate, the scheme works, and I expect to get a real depth improvement for a give power input to the Tx coil. Owing to the fact that I hold down a regular job for grubstake needs, progress on the detector has been slow but steady.

Will keep you posted.

Best Regards,

Allan

Did anyone ever get the Pulse Devil out to be tested? Or, should I say was there ever one to be tested?
