Wat come around, goes around....

Im headed for another knee replacement in August. So the summer will be gone before I recover. Its really painful to walk on the beach. So Ive limited
my time to weekends and fireworks & movies on the beach.

Tuesday morning was an after event day. I was walking a diagonal line over to the event beach. Signals are scarce but I get very smooth medium tone
Mind said this is something different, sure enough the scoop pulls up a gold chain & cross. Holy canoli !! Never found a big A*** chain in the dry sand.
Timing is everything. The beach cleaning machine would have surely scooped this up. Its tough beating the machine to the beach. He starts at 5 a/m !!!

Of course i cant read the clasp and the chain looked a little off color. it could be 10k. The cross definitely looked like gold.
Went to the car and the chain is gold plated silver but the cross is 14k. Chain came in at 30g and cross 3g. Back in the day, it all would have been gold, too.
Cant complain one bit as even silver is tough to find nowadays.

We had some good SE winds that day, so on Wednesday I decided to go to a beach that is known to cut. Yes, there was a cut but hardly any targets.
Not sure if it was replenished but it certainly looked much wider than last year. Once again my good deed was rewarded. If I dug 5 targets it was a lot.
The gold ring was target #2. Only weighs 3 g but I'll take it.

Im sure the gold God is done with me for now !!!

It was nice to be bad in the saddle once again.

Those were some great hunts Donna, beautiful finds. That cross is stunning and the more I look at it, the more I get the feeling that it's very special.

You should wear that cross when you go to get your knee replacement.

Awesome work.

Pray all goes well with the surgery.

Dr Brooks in Florida is one of the best knee and joint dr's in the world.
He has parents on many of his procedures.
Even a cadaver doner whole knee replacement.

He has many patients fly from overseas for his work.

Was from Cleveland.
I'm trying to get an appointment for his next visit up here to do my other hip.

Well Done Donna on the cross and chain. You will do well also with the knee replacement. I have had both hips replaced, my first at age 40 in 1996 and my second at age 45 in 2001. I still get around on them just fine, some 30 years later, and you'll be back as good as new swinging the coil and scooping Gold on the beach. Best of Luck to you.

You know then what to expect, and that is a big part of it. You'll do fine and be back in no time at all. You can't keep a Good Detectorist Down!
