Waterproof housings

Hi All:
Has anyone tried to build a PI detector in a waterproof housing? I was thinking of something similar to a Tesoro sand shark for underwater use. Since I live pretty far inland, freshwater lake diving might be the most trash-reduced hunting around here.
I would imagine that one could set the controls dry, then close up the case for use underwater.(might be wrong, though, never used a PI detector) Still, it would be nice to have a case with a clear front. Looked through Allied's catalog and didn't see anything.
Or is there a source for seals, waterproof pots and switches?
Thanks
BG
