very unusual for here its usually gone in 3-4 days and I think its been 3-4 years since we have had over 2 inches during the Whole Winter, Some winters we never get a drop BUT we can drive around 50 miles and get into deep drifts---That one thing I have always liked about living her I can Go To the Snow but it hardly ever comes here---From the weather reports it looks like it will be next Sat before it melts---We will get a Silver Thaw pretty soon---They look pretty but are generally Ugly to drive in !

Didn't you see our last snow fall where the one car could not Stop on a street in Portland (Or) and hit something like 24 cars in very slow motion ? it was shown all mver the USA---I am going to make a trip in just a few min. of around 30 miles just to see what its like, I love to drive in the snow but don't care much for ICE--I bought the Best Heaviest Chains Les Schwab had cost $140---If I make that trip to Az. around the end of Jan. I am going to get 1 more set just so I am set for anything---I did have to put on both once years ago to go from Or. To Calif. on I-5 because thats was the only way they were letting anyone go through the Sis-ques Mts. Around WEED Calif---(bad spelling but that the way you say it)

we got all kinds of snow here. That ice storm we had a week a go would of been a wet snow but it stayed around 32 degreaze all day and didn't drop down. They keep the roads up pretty good most of the time.Looks like there cutting back on plowing this year the last two stormes they didn't keep up a it that well but they might rethink that.I had my scanner on at the shop yesterday and they had there hands full with cars off the road one when down a ditch flipped and the guy died. Do you have plows in town or do they bring some in.We have power trucks all the way from Mich. try to get all the power back from the ice storm from ten days ago. There working around the clock with the temp in the teens and the wind blowing it makes a long night for them guys.Still can't get ahold of one of my detecting buddy,he lives in the stick and there a lot of stick down from the ice storm and with two feet of snow on top of that I don't think he'll had power for another week.

We have NO snow plowing equipment in our town except a Regular tractor with a blade because the main road out of town is a State road---They sometimes plow it but so far they have not and there is around 10-12 inches on the road---The state road ends in the middle of town so we can get Half the town main road cleared---the main part of town has the business the rest has been just annexed so it is mainly very small farms or 1-3 acres with a house on it---In the main part there is about 1200 people and the rest has 2-3 thousand with no businesses except near the Highway that goes from Mexico to Canada and it is 3 miles away and Named I-5---It was a real nice place to live until it Exploded with Town Houses---They would buy 100 acres and put houses very close together---With the recession Some are empty and some people have lost there houses because they lost there jobs and could not make the house or Tax Payments---Mine has been paid for since 1949 and the taxes run around $1600 a year so I have had No Problems---I intend to Die here in this house then my daughter will get it---I have told her to Sell It and Pay her and her husbands House off then they will not have any problems either---Right now they have $1000 a month payments---She lost her job so they are having a tough time of it and I do help them when they need it---Her husbands job does not look that steady either---My step son job has been shut down for a month but luckly his wifes job looks steady BUT who knows

I was born and raised there. Went to David Douglas High School. Moved to Alaska in 1989.

Yup. Been there! I know about those "Silver Thaws" you talk about!

Nothing like having your car scrunched down on its springs and welded to the ground covered in six inches of ice! NASTY!!!!!
