Well congratulations! I have an xterra and love it. Haven't had quite enough time with it to be able to give you pointers, but I got a lot of info & help from some of the guys here on the forum.

Hello Hank, I also own and love my Minelab X-terra 505. I've used and or owned just about everything out there at one point and there's nothing like a Minelab! You'll love it. Like Mike says, be prepared to dig deeper. One more thing, if you wish more information, you can go to my website:

I have an xterra and regulary out hunt my friend that has another brand detector. I have had two xterras and like them both. Which one are you getting. You need to check out the xterra forum and read the faq faq post and the ebook.
