We should donate to R&D...

This sounds great and I agree, I prefer someone else to maintain the funds... So if anyone out there is interested and all potential "donators" are willing let's get the ball rolling... As soon as Eric is happy with the system I will send him the cct and btw I do not mind at all if you (to Eric) if you use any part or the whole cct for your PI Machines, and if you throw in any ccts they will not become public domain... As a potential Manager what say we ask John Kah of Coiltek? He also supplies most coils around the PI Machines so he would be a good candidate for management?
So what do you all think and who's in???

I will be happy to donate money for the R&D funding! Also as always, I am available for testing of the prototypes here in Hawaii to provide feedback and will offer suggestions for more improvements.
John Kah of Coiltek as fund manager is a good idea.

With regard to R&D funding, I also like the idea, but do we all have the same outcomes in mind.
Personally I would like a detector that can find gold, under Australian conditions, at depths far in excess of any detector available today.
Is this what others have in mind and is it possible with the time and resources that are available to us.

The possibility of depth with current technology in Australian Mineralised ground is not so easy. The main concern is to try and get a similar product to the proven SD's from Minelab who we all acknowledge as the leader, at a price affordable to all. Depth is almost consistant with available power and unless you want to strap a truck battery to your back, you may as well forget much extra depth...
Just so you know, I am targeting mainly Australia for the project as I live in Western Australia.. That is not to say it won't work elsewhere in the world..
