I have been researching an old stage stop that was on the trail to Nevada from the Boise Valley back in the 1800's. The place was burned down long ago but we hoped that we could find enough to locate it. Our trip took us close to an ancient caldera that had eroded into one of the most beautiful canyons on the face of the earth, The road winds down hill for 8 miles and every inch of the way is through huge old rhyolite formations. The end of the road is on a remote lake where I have done some great smallmouth and crappie fishing over the years. The photos do not do the place justice. It was amazing. I took over 200 photos on this trip.
This is the lake. Not only great fishing but what a place to look at!

What a nice trip. We did get into a big thunderstorm and downpour, but when we at last found the stage stop the rain quit. I will post that part of the story later. We found some goodies in the short time we hunted it, and it is un-detected so far.
