Was sure a tough weekend for finds. Saturday and Sunday especially had rain in the forecast and it rained off and on on Sunday for most of the day so I was ducking between rain showers. Got nice out during the last couple of hours on Sunday but didn't help much since I didn't feel like driving and wasting gas on a short hunt. Finds were waaaayyyyyy!!! down compared to what everyone is use to seeing me post so even the best detectorist's out there can have a bad outing! This is what I had for poor finds. ONLY 1 SILVER!!!
Can you believe it? 1 Mercury Dime dated 1942. I found 2 Nickels which were a V-Nickel dated 1906 and a Jefferson Nickel dated 1946-s. I found also 1 Indian Head Penny dated 1898 and found 8 Wheats dated 1910-s (which is a good date hard to find but is in very bad shape due to pitting),1930,1941,1944-d,(2)1946-d,1947-d,and 1949-d. I also found the usual Clad which consisted of 11 Quarters,20 Dimes,4 Nickels, and 47 Pennies. If I wasn't digging the Clad I wouldn't have found the Silver Ring I found due to it only being 2"-3" deep. I also found an old Hubley Toy Tractor Wheel (wish the whole tractor was found) and an older Key. And lastly I found an old Printing Plate that advertises Moore Fountain Pens which I thought was kinda neat and also found what might be a Good Luck Tie Clip or Swastika item. Next weekend is the Fall Club Hunt and I will post what finds I get from both pre-buried finds and also a separate post of regular finds if any.
