New member
Since my daughter's been hurt haven't made it out much, but this weekend had a chance to get out and do some digging! Hit several spots using my Explorer 2. Finds include a few dollars in clad, a ton of junk and thse goodies!!
1 Barber Half(1894-S)
1 SLQ(1918-S)
3 Roosies(54, 63-D, 64-D)
5 Mercs(20, 26, 40-S, 42, 44)
Reale(badly worn and bent)
1 Indian(surprised only 1)(1896)
Token good for 6 bottles
Small silver ring(stone missing)

Man o Man the finds just get better and better. How do you keep your blood pressure from going over the top with find's like those. I have found a lot of the old coins but not in a single day or for that matter weekend like you guy's. Way to go and Congratulations. Nice SLQ and wish the half was a 97-S.

Great job Jack, but just think how much more you would have found had you been swinging an SE! :lmfao: Seriously, excellent finds, better than any of my weekends - how deep was the Real and what sort of location was it in?

in the 9 to 10 inch range, and the location was a school, but the sign states schools have been there since 1827!!

Outstanding finds jack,

Fantastic hunt! And the reale was the icing on the cake.

It's very possible a homestead was there before the old 1827 school, I find this is the occurrence we have here in Ca. as some of the much older schools are located at an old homestead.

Congrats with your finds,
Paul (Ca)

WOW!!!!!! Very nice finds indeed there Jack..........:) You got that Explorer II working pretty good for you it looks like to me. Makes me wonder and I'm sure others might think the same as to whether or not the XS or the new SE wouldn't have found those coins if their coils were over the same spot..........:) Just kidding.........:) Congratulations on the nice silver. HH.

I ditto jb - wish I could have a day or weekend like some of you guys have. Here is my SLQ found this last weekend.

Kinda pales in comparison but you gotta take what you can get.

That Standing Liberty Quarter sure is a beauty. High Grade is always a tough one to find for the Standing Liberty Quarters. Nice looking Barber Half. And that Token is an interesting one. Too bad about the Reale. Great finds Jack and continued Good Luck and HH to you.

most finds were in the 4-6 inch range, the Half deeper, the SLQ was maybe seven inches deep. My friend has found Indians/2 cent Pieces(2) in the 1-1 1/2 inch range there!
