Weekend finds

Went out for a few hours to hunt an overgrown baseball field and the nearby forest.
Found about $4.00 in clad and pennies along with two silver Roosevelt dimes,
1953-D and 1961-D. Found a 3 Merry Widows cap in the forest next to a creek
that flows through town. Too hot today so I'm going to take a break.

Congrats on the finds! I think merry widows are condoms?

Yes, that was an early brand of condoms. I didn't know what they were either
until I saw several posts about the 3 Merry Widows here in the Findmall forums
over the past few years. I'd never found one myself but then I dug this one up
I knew what it was right away.

Congratulations on the Rosies. My E-trac will be here by Friday and I am looking forward to a fun weekend !! I have found several of the 3 Merry Widows tins over the years and they can turn up in some of the oddest places.

Nice finds, a 2 silver day is a good day!!
