Weird night on the beach

EL Pulltabio

New member
In my 9th year of detecting beaches at night I've seen a few memorable
incidents:

Of course, there was a small army of fornicators over the years. They seem to prefer
moonless nights. I simply turn my head and pretend something far out at sea has caught my attention.

There were amorous males so intoxicated they tried to give my a hug(yuck)....or beg to tryout my detector.

A muscular man in his early 40's wearing only cutoff pants stopped to chat with me at about 0330 one morning.
I couldn't help but to notice that he had dried blood on the sides of his head from 2 open wounds. His shaved head
only made the wounds more noticeable. He claimed that some guy beat him with a ball bat. That situation got worse.

Then there was yesterday morning. I knew the beach where I was detecting is way overhunted but at 67 yoa, I figured
at least I'd get some exercise. The beach surprised me with a 14K white gold wedding band, a silver chain bracelet and .47 in clad.
Weird, huh? A 5+ hour effort. Some nights I couldn't find a bulldozer in my living room.

It looks like you had a real good night. You just keep knocking them out of the Park. Congratulations.

Good finds. I never have any trouble going over hard hunted areas! It appears you feel the same.:clapping:

Very nice finds. In my area all the parks are closed at night. Some places here it isn't safe even in the day time.My first concealed weapons course about 4 yrs ago at least 10 of us were avid park hunters.Though a night search would be interesting I feel that you could stumble into a bad situation.

Sounds like you were in New Jersey.
