the way prices are going up some of us have no choice but to raise a garden.its lots of work ,but sure will help.be sure to raise some watermelons and send obomo a green one.

Ya can be sure that the BOs wont be raising their own and we will still be paying for their high priced foods, drinks, lobsters and expensive vacations of which they take many! I am not going to plant a garden any more...been there and done that even in my own yard but cannot do that any longer! I will just have to eat less as long as I can afford to buy some foods and keep my home to live in but the future is in God's hands and He never sees His own begging for bread! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for everything you do to help me to keep living and stay in my home! Amen! Ma Betty

I have raised a little garden for the last 3 years. Nothing like fresh veggies right off the vine. Alot of times they don't even make it to the table. I ride a bicycle everyday (20-30 miles). A buddy and I are riding to the beach in the morning. About 80 mile round trip. Can't wait to go. Will post some picts when I return. Joe ps. I think I will grow some watermelons this year.:super:

When I was a kid, both my parents were work-a holics and as the oldest of three girls, I was in charge of our 1 acre garden. Oh how I hated it sometimes. I was expected to weed, hoe, water, everything including making my two younger sisters help. My mom did all the canning of the produce and I helped her freeze veggies. Fast forward to Travis and I buying our own place and guess what? I couldn't wait to have my own garden. I LOVE it and can't imagine not having one. Thanks to my momma, I can raise one heck of a garden and we won't starve no matter how bad things get. Well, unless we have thieves or severe weather issues. We are all going to have to change the way we do things. We should be preparing our families and childrens on how to become more self-sufficient. Many people coming up in this world have NO clue.

Amen Liz and the younger generation will have to learn how to work and raise their own....should it become necessary and probably will in these last days! We spoiled our children and now we are paying for it but as Americans, hopefully, there is some patriotic duties planted in them and they will arise to the occasions like our forefathers did! May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty
