Without a doubt, I did not want the season, for metal detecting, to come to a close. Unfortunately winter is just around the corner and we've got no choice. Oh ... How I wish I could affort to go south for the winter months. For all those living in the northern states, you know exactly what I'm talking about. Keep warm people and God bless!

Well, people can go :detecting: somewhere any time of the year, but just have to have the monies and the willpower to get there and do it in those far away places! Wish I could, also, but I just wish I could go :detecting: period! :) May God Bless! Amen! Ma Betty

It's not over till the ground is solid! Then I will find me a creek somewhere! :)

the grund in the woods, forest, NEVER freezes because it is cove with about 1 foot of leaves and the trees protect it from a lot of that. It may be an idea for you. I can hunt all year round. Let us know ok. It will work for the rest of you guys to. This is even if the ground has snow on it.The leaves act a an insulator against freezing. You just need a good shovel and a small hand held pruning saw for it. You'd be amazed how well I can do it. Best Wishes. PEACE:RONB
