Well, I got slowed down -

I don't speed so wasn't the van. Had an injury to my left knee last night at work and went to work this morning only to further injure it. Though the doctor said she thinks it is sprained I distinctively heard and felt a pop in my knee. Unless the hotel can find me a desk job where I come in and do nothing but sit I will be off until whenever on Workmen's Comp.

Can't see the head of maintenance (me) sitting behind a desk....especially since I don't even have a room to put a desk into if we had a desk to put in it. Don't even have a phone since last night someone scavanged what they needed off the one phone I had to use and now have none. Oh well.

Have a 'wrap' on my knee and using crutches to get around so I am thinking my detecting days for this year will be gone. Am sure there is a reason God has in mind to slow me down. I only hope the knee mends and I can walk and detect again.

I do have some maintenance guys I have been working with to teach them how to do some of the things that come up, there is LOTS they can't do...and now, I can't either...mostly changing out lighting fixtures with new ones. Since climbing a ladder or steps is out of the question I can't easily teach others how to do those tasks. Biggest thing I have to deal with is having someone do things for me...Sherry or Casey doing for me instead of me doing for them as I usually do.
Appreciate prayers for healing and patience as I don't handle doing nothing very well. Thanks all and God bless.

That Knee belongs to GOD Pete, he put every atom where he wanted it and can surely put it back as original. Prepare for healing Pete, focus on the healing and not the problem. The problem is nothing to GOD.

Though the boss saw the report that says I am to do nothing except sit at a desk, he decides he wants to 'talk' with me and I am to follow him like a puppy dog half way thru the hotel. Today had a cable guy come in and he told the cable guy I would take him wherever he needed to go....climbing ladders and stairs is a restriction the doctor put on but guess he doesn't think that is a problem

Bro Pete.....put it in the LOrd's hand and refuse to go against the dr's orders or otherwise you may be a cripple because of not letting your knee heal as you should! God is with you and if He is with you then who can be against you? Speak in kindness but firmly that you cannot do what your boss asks and you will do what you are able until healed completely and leaving it unto God it will be sooner than you or your boss thinks!

You just have to speak up for yourself or you will be doing everything you aren't supposed to be doing! My son-in-law, Troy, told his boss that he could not help lift the tongue of a trailer to move it, but he did it anyway at the bosses insistance and ended up with depressed or crushed vertebraes in his spine. He had to have two back surgeries and has had very bad back trouble ever since! We, whether Christians or not, must use wisdom to protect our ourselves and our own health! Money hungry people do not care and will use us if we allow them to do so!

Pray, pray and pray some more for healing and for godly wisdom for your boss and others who own the business or work there! They also did that to my brother, Larry, and he couldn't take no more of it and committed suicide, for he was very sensitive and they were very deep in debt and did it by wrong thinking, so his wife, Wanda, could keep the house with the ins policy he had purchased and paid for several years! But she would have rather had Larry and really had a difficult time in losing him the way she and the family did! Even his brother and 2 sisters, Carolyn and I, had a difficult time accepting the fact of his death and the way he took his own life!

So, do what God wants you to do and pray for quick healing but give your knee time to rest and mend no matter what the boss says and if you are to stay in that job, Jesus will see to it and bless you mightily! Don't let satan win to cripple you for therapy later! Amen! God Bless! Betty
