And went out for about an hour to give it a test run. Found 24 coins total,Had to leave, the mosquitoes were terrible.

Thought I might have a problem with pinpointing, because it is quite different from the machine I have been using 4 the last 6 years. But it was fairly easy to pick up.
I am not used to many things about it , the tones being different will take a bit of time to get used to.And the way things ring in, but is close and will come with time used.
Figured out quick that must look at depth reading before pinpointing, cuz it goes away.
What headphones will work best. The ones I have are way too loud and as far as I know there is no adjustment .Do the headphones need a volume control???
Going to give it a work out 2morrow. Thanks for the help.

The best I've used so far are the Killer B's, but any with a decent Volume control will do just fine. Glad you are using them, nothing worse than some guy roamin' around in the park, dingin' and dongin' without 'phones, disturbing everyone else!! Anyone who doesn't use 'phones in a public area is totally disrespecting others rights, much as someone playing loud music would be!!

I think you are mistaken with the depth going away once you've pipointed something. When you pipoint a target the deepth will sometimes go down, but you will still be able to see it while pinpointing.

Roscue2 ,, I went out again 2day (2nd time) and realized that you can still see the depth while holding the pinpoint button, then when you let it go ,there is no depth reading. Not a problem just figuring things out.

I found a silver roosevelt dime and 2 wheats, plus a handfull of clad. The 250,,,,, I like it....

Sounds like you and the ACE are becoming fast friends! WTG flash

You'll get the hang of it all pretty fast. It really is pretty easy to use
once you get used to it. The 250 is a great machine for the price.
It's been out about 4 years nearly, and I still think it's probably the
best $200 machine out there 4 years later. I've had mine a tad over
three years, and nary a glitch so far. Been like a Timex.. Bang on wood..
Once you really get used to it, there are a few tricks you can learn to
get a bit more performance out of it when looking for deeper stuff.
