...I called the place this morning-it is a campground/beach about 18 miles from my house.A older lady answered the phone;and I explained to her a friend of mine lost a class ring there;and I am seeking permission to go into the water and look for it with a metal detector...Her answer??"Why;of course-you can come anytime!"...:thumbup:I will probably go the saturday before Father's Day Weekend-my wife will be at her parents that weekend. When I went dry detecting there a few years ago;I asked the man there if I could detect the sand-his answer:"SURE-But we scraped 6 inches off the top-yer not gonna find much!"...:shocked:I proceeded to find silver from the 40's;thanks to them takin that top 6 inches off-That class ring was lost there in 1950-and I found silver from the 40's up in the dry-And;Im going to ask them how long its been a public beach when I get there....All I can think is"OH;THE POSSIBILITIES"!!!!:detecting::usaflag::wave:

I bet the water holds more secrets than just that ring Steve.
