..I finally took the batteries out of my detectors Wednesday,so its with a heavy heart that I say winter is officially here:thumbdown::(:stars::unsure:

I might have to do a sledding hill! :)

on and off winter, which means on and off snows, rains such, I may have to hit a few sledding hills myself. I couldnt go a whole season without my MD. lol

Even went through the process of "field stripping " the machines and putting them in storage. I got one the other day and hunted this field being used for a parking lot for a sledding hill. I focused primarily on the 2-4" targets and was rewarded with some clad and a wheatie. But most importantly was the ton of signals that were deeper that I can go back and get in the spring. Like Mike says, never say never.

Good luck and God's blessings all who are :detecting: in the winter cold and white stuff! Try not to freeze your nosies and toesies nor fingers, as that can be quite uncomfortable.....by remembering my childhood that is! Betty

Metal detecting is a year round sport here in Miami :clapping:

The beaches and playgrounds are filled with clads. It's rare to detect one our beaches and not find jewelry. South Beach has mostly silver(many Europeans lose silver there) and beaches in Key Biscayne have more gold(locals go there). So far this year, two days detecting, I've found $7.33 in clads, 2 silver rings, lots of pulltabs and bottlecaps. :clapping:
