There is going to 5 or 6 people from around Chicago that I meet on another forum. It should be loads of fun. We are going to go to an old Boy Scouts camp site in a local forest preserve. It has been picked over the years, but you never know what you might find. Also it will be a learning experience for me, I get to see how other people pinpoint and dig plugs, ect. I will let you all know how things turnout.

I do seveal every year! Maybe that is the preserve that Mike in Chicage goes to?
Don't forget that we are having our 5th annual forum hunt in May.

I meet Mike Chgo area last weekend, we went to a local MD shop and hungout for 5 hours, I guess every weekend, people come to the shop and showoff and chat about their finds. It sounds like a long time, but I had a blast!!!!

Hope you have a great time. Detecting with others you can learn alot. Sometime though one has to be careful what is learned. Had detected with some people once and thought they all would be good mentors...one failed to do the right thing...properly fill in his holes. Had I learned from him I would have been one of those guys who hurts our hobby - not helps it.

(These were not CMD forum Brothers and Sisters I was detecting with - just in case you wondered if it was one of our own - it wasn't.

Have a great time, Treasurefiend! Have a great hunt!

Hope it went well! We got over 8" of snow, I'll have to wait a while now. Look forward to hearing about your hunt!
