Well it finally happened.

hubby and I were detecting over at the local highschool. have been there 3 times before and had some watzit finds , a mood ring and ALOT of change. so since the weather was good we decided to try our luck again. it is winter break and all so no classes. well we get out there and were hittin the ground for about 15 minutes when a lady came up to us and asked us to leave. said we couldnt detect there. I told her i was sorry for that but thought it was public property and no classes. she said it was still business hours so we had to leave. I was like OK but can we come back after hours or just not at all. she didnt have much to say but suggested if we did it should be on a weekend.

Well at least she didn't say you coudn't detect there at all. I guess they were holding a meeting and maybe you and your hubby were distracting some of them by their looking out the window and watching and maybe she didn't trust you and didn't want any problems while she was there! it is better not to draw attention. If someone wants to make it negative attention it will hurt those who like to detect.
Sorry about that. Some of our club got the boot from an 1800's park that we have hunted for years. the cop said there is no ordinance but better to keep the peace.
