Its always fun when ya get together with friends and this weekend was no exception. Elson and Charlie came into town and we had planned to do some digging
We got Ray to join us for a trip up to the fort and stopped by Cracker Barrel for breakfast

The gate to the road to the place I wanted to go was locked...sooooooo...I decided to go to another spot to hunt that we didn't have to park on the road and walk into. Here's a pic before we headed out

I decided to get in a pic so everyone wouldn't think ALL people who detect are UGLY

Well, to make a long story short....after several hrs of walking in the woods and our time running, Ray and I had only found a wheatie each. So, we decided to make a loooong walk to the area that I had wanted to start in the first place.
All of a sudden I hear what sounded like a little girl screaming
I turn around and see Elson on the ground and Ray's yelling so I run over to see whats happened to the old fossil
Turns out the AT Pro has found a first for Elson
His first Merc dime

Congrats buddy
We didn't have much time after that and unfortunately none of the rest of us could get our coil over any silver, but I think we all had a great time and a ton of laughs.
Had a great time hunting with 3 good friends and got to experience someone finding a first.....it don't get any better than that and I look forward to being able to do it again.
