Well, I've almost got what I call my trauma medical pack together...

[size=large]Today I ordered off of Ebay "minor surgery implements": scalpel, scissors, forceps, sutures, clamps. I also need a couple more things such as Quick Clot, for helping with clotting of blood. This pack is basically for large scrapes, cuts, puncture wounds and heavy bleeding. I would not only be able to clean out the wound and stop the bleeding, but if need be and I had no other options, I also have butterfly bandages and even medical suturing needles and thread, and could in theory continue with the care and healing of a major flesh wound... [size=large]I've looked extensively on the Internet for commercial med packs; a pack equal to the one I'm showing you would cost $160, right now I have less than $50 in it including the pack and surgical instruments that are coming. I hope I never need it, but if I do, I'm going to be glad have it.

People like in the photo below drive me bananas. I hope I would never have to use my medical supplies on a couple of twits like this; it's a good thing they've got what's left of their brains covered.

Thanks for looking,
Vernon

...... following items used on the farm, can be used on humans too ! Available at farm supply outlets; city folk have not likely even heard of these products ! Cost will be a fraction of what one might pay for any of that there new fangled stuff in town !!!!!!!!!

Absorbine Jr. ( OK for people ), the Absorbine Senior is pretty potent though ! Both are in liquid form. We just called it " horse liniment "

Pine Tar ( organic, not the road/roof type ) Good for sealing off wounds when bandaging is not practical, e.g livestock, wire cuts etc; Keeps out dirt, flies.

Creolin ( excellent disinfectant for all manner of livestock surgery or wounds; a liquid product that can be mixed to mild or nasty level ).

And lastly .........

A decent, inexpensive whiskey, helpful to steady the care givers hand(s), dosage as req'd !

[size=large] It's an ETON FR300 Crank Radio. There's the ability to run on 3 AA sized batteries if you want, but the crank charger works so well I doubt I'll ever waste batteries in it. It has a decent LED light, a siren, and a cell phone charger. It gets great AM/FM reception, and the Weather Alert Band comes in loud and clear. There's even an "Alert" setting where it will automatically come on and alert you should a serious weather bulletin come in and is covered in some sort of rubber-like protective skin.

Product Features;

Emergency Hand-Crank Power Generator
Built-in Cell Phone Charger, Flashlight, and Emergency Siren
Rechargeable battery pack provides reliable, renewable, internal power for everyday use
Stereo headphone jack

Technical Details;

Brand Name: Eton
Model: FR300R
Tuner Technology: Analog
Item Height: 6.5 inches
Item Length: 6.7 inches
Item Width: 2.5 inches
Retail about $50.00. I got it new on Ebay for $12.00 + shipping. I had been watching and bidding on them for about a month before I nailed this one at a great price.
