Well, I've almost got what I call my trauma medical pack together...

But you need a couple of extra large gauze pads for those large wounds. Hope you never have to use it, but it is always helpful to have something like that for emergencies. Steri strips are good, but I would not recommend trying to put in sutures unless you have done it before....leave that job to the experts because a massive infection can be caused if it is not done right.

Now, just remember where you put it when you are looking for it!

I believe 3M makes something for the Vet hospitals. I know regular superglue was used back in the day in the jungles of Nam. I have used it once or twice myself when I was building my Pro street Nova working with the sheet metal. I should have gotten stitches, but the glue did justy fine. Plus I wanted to finish working on the car!

My husband just had a hernia repair and they super glued him back together! One of my co-workers, her father had open heart surgery and he was super glued back together. Good stuff......they have found that it lessens the chance of infection because it seals off all the vessels and tissue.

Things are different now...........better to use steri strips or super glue than stitches.

The only difference is when they put medical use on it the price goes up 100 times!..........just like brand name prescription drugs verses generic! The super glue that they use in surgery is the same but it is manufactured under sterile conditions but for simple cuts regular super glue will work........I have used it.
