..I met the Dr. today that will be doin the slicin and dicin on me-I NEVER THOUGHT I would find a Marcus Welby in real life.GREAT bedside manner-Explained in great detail whats gonna be done(Arthroscopic surgery)....He told me there was no real way to tell how big the tear was-"could be 4-5MM;could be as big as a 50 cent piece"-But he suspects its quite large,due to my restricted use and pain in there.SO,he said he could give me an injection and I'd be pain -free by tonite;BUT if the tear was big;the problems would come right back in 2-3 months,OR do it up right the 1st time-I went with the latter-SO Im scheduled for Wednesday;June 17th-At an outpatient clinic near the hospital in the same city that I work in.He told me before surgery;they will give a pain blocker shot at the base of my neck on the L-side;so when I wake up,I will be numb on my whole L-arm/shoulder-BUT;he said,"when that wears off;you are NOT going to like me very much;cause there are a lot of nerves in there that dont take kindly to invasive procedures"...SO Im on light-duty at work till the 15th of June.-BEST PART???When anybody at my work place is on light duty,they dont have to work overtime-AND THEY SCHEDULED US TO WORK THIS SATURDAY,AND 10 HOUR SHIFTS NEXT WEEK-AND I WONT HAVE TO BE THERE FOR THE OVERTIME!!!
Steve!!!PS:After surgery;m/C riding is NADA,as I figured it would be-BUT:::I asked about
;and he said YES-NO USE OF MY LEFT ARM,THOUGH-I asked him about wet
;and he said"as long as you do NOT do any swimming motion with your L-arm"....praise the LORD,I swing right-handed,and I can carry my scoop in my L-hand
