I used my Fisher 1280X water detector THREE times after having it rebuilt...., Imagine my shock when I removed the batteries to find the battery compartment looking like 'corrosion city', from water leaking into it after just getting it back:veryangry:...I re-assembled it and held it up to the light: even with the gasket installed and the door screws tightened properly, you can see the gap between the NEW gasket and the NEW battery door, and the original detector housing....."HOUSTON, WE'VE GOT A PROBLEM!!!".....Will let y'all know what they say.

Fisher re designed them so the ears would not crack. No problem since
