Well Pete, this bug didn't have as nice of a photo shot as yours did...

because these were its finally minutes. It somehow got its tail cut off which made it not be able to fly. I tried to put it on a plant, but it kept falling onto the side walk. Figured I'd take these photos before it completely died. After one last photo I put him/her onto a bush as far away from the side walk as possible. Last photo has the Virgin Mary in the background.

Nice pics of a poor dying dragronfly! Wonder how the tail got cut off? I think it is really pretty with transparent wings! :sad: God Bless! Betty
 
Wonder what its natural enemy is? I have found one missing a leg. Wouldn't think even birds would be interested but maybe wrong.

Thanks for the great pics. I will have to find some more pics to post...the Cheshire Cat faced one in particular when I have time.
