A 1989 Canadian Dollar coin, the first one I've found, a 1940 wheat, a massive spill, 12 Q, 6 D, 1 N laying right on top of the grass in a park, on the unofficial "cut across" trail a kid would take. I saw it from 5 feet away, and ran the coil over it so it would count...That would have been a cool find for somebody in the future....those tight spills are hard to unravel when they go subsurface....99 coins, on the morning run, so I went back out and got 3 more q's 1 d, 2 n, and 4 p at the edge of the Kay Roger parking lot while I was waiting on the Wife. I was running what I would consider "hot" for about an hour in a place where I found the wheat (theres old silver there) . Got 2 deep clad Q's (8") I had to cut a plug to get. Disc 1, sens 85, thresh 1, DE mode, DP tones, really chatty, but manageable... Theres a new sweeper in town hitting some of my "tell penny" totlot spots, and doing a mighty fine job getting all the little zippers and foil I leave there on purpose, so the guy knows what hes doing....sweeping it very nice and clean. Thats good, its forcing me to go places I've never been before, and I think thats a big part of this sport, exploring. Hope you all had a great expedition today!

Nice pile of coins and trinkets. That will keep one's knees in shape....or not. LOl Did a little soccer field hunting, myself. Decided to dig everything from foil to nickel readings. I lasted doing that for 20 minutes. I'll dig it all in the chip lots, but turf digging it all is not my cup of tea. Good hunting, mud. HH jim tn

Yeah, Jim, I dig it all in the chips..but I usualy leave a few zippers or pennies or something just to sort of give me my bearings the next time I hit the spot. Its good to know if somebody else has been there too, and when, and how often they go, so a fellow can sort of get their schedule down, and adjust accordingly....On the sod, now thats a different matter! If some wild signal occurs, I gotta check it out, Standard digging targets 70's and up of course, solid nickles, anything close (above or below) the zinc signal, but I dont pop all zincs, just depends on depth and tone, how I feel and where it is in relation to structure. I have got nothing worth value in the 40's, a few value targets under 21, like lighters, knives, and some thin wire bracelets.
