Well, the f-44 hunts just fine and dandy..............

As mentioned, the detector had some touch pad issues .. Those were resolved thanks to Felix and his repair dept. Now the detector ground balances perfectly and is very stable hunting. I'm seeing very good depth on coins in the ground.
I still believe the vanquish 440 holds a slight edge in performance Id'ing deeper coins correctly but this f-44 isn't far behind.

The F44 has a lot of 'plus points' over most of the competition for the $$$. Ground Balance, Variable Iron Audio Volume, Variable Back'Light, and definitely a better selection of both Concrntric and Double-D search coils. And compared with the V-440 a lot more operating time from 4-AA batteries.

The F44 is a dandy unit for the investment.

I seriously was looking at a 44 for a backup but now maybe the Legend…. Decisions decisions
