Grabbed the V3i have a poke around the yard.

Hit power button.
Screen blinked on and off a few times then nothing.
Tried a few times.
Then it finally turned on and nothing.
Just a blank white screen.
Tried a dozen times. Just a blank screen.

Anyone have this happen ?
Is there a fix ? I hope.

WOW! Hope nothing serious!! Contact Centerville Electronics and tell them the problem. You might have to send it in to them for a diagnostic's. I'm assuming you checked your batteries, leakage or bent contacts?? Good Luck in her up and running again.

Thanks everybody.
I really need to put my bifocals on when I'm using a volt meter.
Room was a bit dark too.
Cked voltage. Looked like 12 volts.
Cked again today.
Remembered that meter has a backlight.
Turned it down on.
It was actually saying. 1.2 volts.
Man was I off.
Thankfully nothing leaked.
Batteries weren't 6-7 months old with barely a couple hours on them.
That on button just takes a gentle push.
Can only figure wife accidentally turned it on moving my machines.

Anyway happily she's back up and running.

Now wondering it my MXT Bigfoot coil will run on the V3i ??

Thanks Guys.

Awesome.
I can't wait to see the blue, red and yellow Cardinals come back.
At least I think their Cardinal's. LoL
Hardly ever see hummingbirds.
We had 2 cardinals here last week. We've had 2 cardinals for about the last 5 years here in my yard, can't say they're the same ones but there's always been a real bright red one and the other is like a orange ish red color

The last couple of years we've had about 5 couples (robins) in our backyard around our feeder. I saw a lone red Robin (a male) out back the other day. I hope they all return. At times they were all on the ground or on the feeder at the same time. All 10 of them. I love to watch them. They are about my favorite bird 🐦.

I just don't want to fry it. The machine.
If it runs on the MXT, it will do so on the V3(i), VX3, DFX, MX5, M6.
Only thing may be, it cann't handle the 22.5kHz @ full throttle without overload, if the coil isn't deep nulled.
Give it a try. Switch to common-program which has low settings. Start from there to tweak up gain and all you like to have.
At least you can try TXBoost. You won't fry anything.

Thank You Vito.
So I broke down and bought one of these today.
Its made for the MXT.
So I'm assuming it will work on the V3i.
You mentioned not perfectly on the highest frequency.
Using mostly lower frequencies.
I'm hoping it will find my wife's gold cross.
Her's is one and a half inches long.
With three diamonds across the parells.
Where do you think it will come in at on the V and the Tesoros ???
I really need help with this one.

Wow, what a beauty. Have you tried the MXT? For this nice pc of jewelry I'd hunt with the MXT / Bandido.
On the White's I think it will be 2-18 (VDI).
On the MXT I'd use the stock 950 concentric to achieve best depth and TID. Mode will be C&J, Disc at min.
On the V3i I'd also use C&J with the 950 con. , Disc accept -40 to +95, Tone ID off. Autotrac off, balanced over a clean spot. Sweep Speed & Recovery Speed adjusted to the needs.
(I don't own a V3i, and the VX3's programs are extremly different!)
Bandido II µmax: 8" donut, Ground balance the machine over a clean spot, may be slightly positive. All metal, auto tune, disc min, Sens as high as it runs stable.
To check targets I'd switch to disc. And for this one I'd examine/dig all small targets.
But I'd really start with the MXT.😎
Good Luck 🍀🤞

Thanks Vito.
My biggest problem is time.
I can't be on my feet for much more than 15 minutes. And can only walk a max of 200' before my legs go into spasms and intense pain.
The other problem is it could be anywhere on two acres.
I need to cover as much ground as I can in the shortest time.
If I could swing the MXT with the big foot I would.
Though this new coil is lighter not certain I'll be able to swing the V either.
Presently I'm leaning towards the Bandido with the CSC coil.
This new coil is probably more of a pipe dream.

Also she lost it a couple years ago.
In this sandy loom soil I don't expect it to be more than a few inches.

Sorry, @Odanscoils , I had no idea about these health problems. Then this certainly won't be an easy task for you.

I personally use the Arrow coil with my MXT and VX3. It runs super stable on the VX3 in 3-frequency mode.
It has a large surface area coverage, and the spectragraph display lets you quickly identify whether it's iron or not.
I'd do that for you, but think your grandson is the better choice.
Good Luck🍀🤞

Again.
Thank You Vito.
Any luck putting together a PDF of the mods you did on that compadre ?

Would give me something to do I Enjoy instead of laying in bed.
