It's also lighter than my Bigfoot coil I have for the MXT which I can't seem to find at present.Sorry, @Odanscoils , I had no idea about these health problems. Then this certainly won't be an easy task for you.
I personally use the Arrow coil with my MXT and VX3. It runs super stable on the VX3 in 3-frequency mode.
It has a large surface area coverage, and the spectragraph display lets you quickly identify whether it's iron or not.
I'd do that for you, but think your grandson is the better choice.
