Went back today to that beach where I had recently found the "V" nickel...picked up an "IH"...

This coin was deep...about 5 " below the pebbly surface in wet sand on the slope .


No "S" on reverse :>(

yer lookin for tho is a 1909 Wheatie, Not an injin.

There was a transition in 1909 from the IH to the Wheatie
so both are out there.
There's one out there for ya tho :thump:

Even though this coin is in poor shape as compared with those found in the soil....I can read the letters "L" "I" and "B" on the headdress....I was happy about that.
