Unfortunately I didn't find much but did find some unusual items. One is a 1925 Dog Tag and the other was 'Something' that appears to be a 'Washer' but with a 'Metal Bar' across the center rather than a complete circle of empty space. The edges are round and the 'Letters A4' appear on it. It's extremely heavy and appears to be lead. I also found about $2.00 in change. One penny was a 1945 'wheatie' and doesn't appear to have a mint mark any where that I could find. Any guesses?

My hunting buddy found a late Mexican 50 cent piece, which is unusual up here in Michigan. He also found a beautiful silver ladies ring. There aren't any markings on the inside, so I don't know if it's sterling or white gold. None the less, it was a good day hunting.

sounds like a fun time . The lead thingy sounds like a hem weight, used to keep skirts down. Better take the ring to a jeweler for testing. steve in so az

The ring is most likey a home made silvet one because there are no markings. They are usually made for personal use so there is no need for markings. If they were selling them on the market without the markings they could be in a real world of trouble for tax evasion ok. PEACE:RONB :thumbup:

Nice score on the dog tag. I have a bunch of them and always enjoy fiding them. Got a 1955 last month. My oldest is a 1903 or 1902.
The lead item sounds like a hem weight. The ring could be many metals?????
