Met up with Shawano for a hunt yesterday afternoon. Got some keepers and might go back today. If I remember I will take the camera and get some pics of the two houses and more. They would make most treasure hunters drool! :surprised:

As we were hunting the finds were slow but I heard Mike!!! So I looked up to see a very happy Shawano smiling and cleaning something! He said I think I got my first large cent! So he comes running over all giddy and such and hands it to me! I said sure enough you got one! Congrats! It is a nice looking 1838! It should clean up nice!
I give it back, and he goes skipping back like a kid on Christmas morning! It is so cool being there when someone finds a first! :) He also got an indian head.

I didn't get any real old coins but I got several keepers. I got one1940 wheat, two suspender buckles, two presidential tokens ( I think these are the Shell tokens given out at gas stations in the 50's), also two rabies dog tags. 1988 and 1948. I love the 48 because I don't have one that shape yet, and it had the owners name inscribed on it.

I would have been skipping if I had found a nice old coin like that too! Glad you got out and had a nice time hunting!
