A buffalo, which looks like the date of 1936 and a 1906 Indian head.

Was surprised when I flopped out this 2 center because it wasn't very deep, about 4 inches. Here is the front before cleaning.

Here is the back and front after a quick cleaning. 1864. Cool. She is worn but nothing I can do about that. Its the condition she was in when dropped. Fun stuff.

Scott got a 1907 Indian but I gave him the signal to that. Plus in one plug he found 6 wheaties. He was happy.

Well, I start off by telling the person my name and where I live. I then tell them that I have a hobby of metal detecting and that I like to ask at old homes like the one they have. I love history and looking for old coins and other old stuff that may be in the yard. I then tell them that I don't hurt the yard and I only dig for small sized items and cut a horse shoe shape plug and after retrieving the item I place back the plug and you can't even tell where I have dug. Then its their call. Sometimes yes, sometimes no. But ya gotta ask or it will always be a no. I still get kinda nervous when I ask but if I want the oldies I gotta do it.
