Went out for about an hour and got 2 keepers!

I got bored and decided to go next door were I live and detect some more at a large vacant lot that is next to the cemetery in the town I live in. I only was out there about an hour and managed to snag a 1946 Silver Roosevelt Dime and a 1947-d Wheat Penny. This lot has produced quite a few finds in the past. This is the lot I found a Walking Liberty Half when I had my Bounty Hunter Big Bud Pro. After I got the Explorer XS that I have now, I decided to go give it a shot and the first thing I dug were 2 Barber Halves in the same hole. I flipped one of them out and couldn't believe it! Then I went and put the probe back in the hole and there was another signal. I dug a little more dirt out and another Half come popping out. The dates were 1894-O and 1902-S. After I found those I found a silver Quarter, a Merc or 2,a few Wheats,2-3 Indian Head Pennies,A Minneapolis Transportation Token, and about 8 Casselton, ND. Tokens of the same business. But this is a tough spot due to alot of Iron. The Dime I got tonight was giving me an almost solid 30 on digital and it would sometimes not give me the coin icon with the number but the sound was good so I dug it and found the Dime. I went over the hole and it was a solid null in the entire area for about 2 feet. I was running Iron Mask at -6 and was able to still get the coin. So Rick(ND), when you read this, why don't you stop by the lot and give it another try but make sure you use the Soveriegn since you know that machine quite well.[attachment 26787 SilverDimeandWheatie.png]

Nice going James, I liked your story of the barber halves. I didn't know that you got them in the same hole. Must have felt pretty good.

I know there is more coins there as the last time I was there with the 5 inch coil on the EX II I picked up a couple of IH in the real trashy area.
I may have to give it a try again when I come to town. That guy that was in the bar last time you and Barber boy was there went out for a little while in his yard with his XS and got his first V nickle ever, then gets his first IH a 1882, then his first ever Barber dime and then his first walking lib half too plus 1 Wheaties and a merc dime, so he got 4 first ever coins today. I told him before his yard may hold some great coins and now he knows.
I went out for a while to day too for a hour and a half and got 7 Wheaties with one a 1914 and no matter how long I looked I just couldn't find the D and a 1961 Canadian silver quarter that had 5 of the Wheaties with it, and a money clip with no money in it, or if it was it disintegrated. Been using my Explorer XS II again and doing OK now being I dropped my sensitivity.
