Went out this evening for a short hunt...

... deer hunt, that is. I took daughter number 2, Leanna (16) out for her second deer hunt. I told her it was too windy this evening, winds gusting up to 35 mph. I told her deer don't move much in high winds, but she wanted to go anyway. I put her up in the tree stand with my new scoped 270 rifle, and a comfortable swivel chair to sit on. I moved off about 600 yards and sat on a stump behind a fallen tree. A lot of deer move through this particular hilltop, but saw nothing this evening, nor did Lee. Clicked this picture out of boredom as the sun was setting. Click to enlarge
