Went to our Wednesday night Praise and Worship Music practice tonight...

took the QChord and played for about a half hour to an hour since we arrived early. Some people had never seen or heard the QChord before and thought it was great.

I have been talking with the Rev. about getting the drums out of storage and letting me bang on them. Never played drums before but ya know I ran across a YouTube video on how to play drums....and the lesson is free...and there is an accompanying website that offers free drum lessons (www.freedrumlessons.com). Just on YouTube alone there are 113 lessons from basic to advanced techniques and more.

Oh Sherry got her NEW but used electronic keyboard tonight. Its a Yamaha PSR 9000....it is heavy and it is awesome. Will take her awhile to learn it...it was purchased from money left her from her Nana (the 100+) Sister in Christ who is with the Lord. Nana didn't leave a lot but enough for Sherry to get this to bless the Lord with..to her it is like the Minelab Explorer II is to me. Both are high end items but we both got them through our loved ones who if they were with us would approve of the money spent on these items.

I am hoping to use both the QChord in church and also learn the drums as well. I never thought myself musically inclined but even being able to sing in the worship services on Sunday is something I would never have thought I could or would do without embarrassment...I must be good or they would have brought in the drums to learn a long time before this

To God be the praise and glory for allowing my hands and voice be able to bring sweet music to His and others ears.

Get those drums out and learn something new! Its never too late to start! I would like to learn how to play the Chapman Stick, but they are just too expensive for me to "try" it out(about 1800-2000 for a used one!) Your new instrument sounds much more reasonable!

I wasn't that "good" when I started but you get better with practice. Best part is you're doing something important for the Lord.

Drums, by the way, were my very first instrument :)

Go for it!

Actually, the QChord (Electronic Digital SongCard Guitar) usually runs $259 new just for the basic unit...no carrying case, extra cartridges for different types of music, rhythm cartridge, etc.

I bought 2 of these units - marked down for clearance several times from about $300 to 250 to 200 to 100 and I got each one marked at $50. They only had 2 and I even travelled to other towns to see if I could find some more at that price. To buy then on eBay ya look at around $200+.

My sister-in-law, a Sister in Christ whose husband is a minister, had been looking for an OmniChord and bought one of these from me. She loves it more than she ever would the OmniChord...never needs tuning.

One doesn't have to use a SongCard (cartridge) to play music with it as it has the buttons for the chords to press..or one can put in a cartridge like I did last night (Religious Favorites) and strum along with it.

I've done pretty good with it pressing the chords and strumming along with the chords without the cartridges but not confident enough to do that in public yet.

Had I not found these QChords when I did Wal-mart would have tossed them into the trash compactor. God's timing is always "on time". My most favorite song I am learning to play on the QChord is "That's Why We Praise Him".
I think that is very fitting. Maybe one day I will record me doing it and put it on GodTube and YouTube. (YouTube does have a few videos of the QChord being played by a guy name Gene...very talented).

Wonder if Wal-mart will ever get the item you are interested in...and maybe mark em down for clearance to nearly nothing. Never can tell. (Though after losing money on these QChords I think they decided to limit their musical items in all the stores to guitars, amps and drum sets.)

The Lord loves what He hears! :) Keep on praising Him!

just for giggles, type in chapman stick, on Youtube and watch a video of someone playing them.

looks complicated to me. Ran across a 12 string Waterstone guitar (bass)...its got to be expensive too...will keep my QChord  :)
