Jason invited me to go up to Marion with him today and it was a beautiful day, Chilly but nice. We got there and parked and it wasn't but a few minutes that Cecil pulled a bullet. I headed down the hill and got my "one bullet" It was a sucsessful hunt in my eyes now but a few steps later out pops number 2. I followed the bullet trail and bam #3 was an Enfield a first for me. Snaged a few more 3 ringers then another enfield and then a nose poured bullet that Jason told me was also confederate. Walked a bit the dug a spencer cartridge, well the back of the casing and the bullet with part of the casing still on it, the middle of the cartrigde had rotted away so there was my 3rd first time find. Ended up with 12 bullets and 2 casings. Jason and Cecil did pretty good too. Hope y'all had a good weekend and found some history.
My finds are on the left, Jason's are in the middle and Cecils are on the right.

Dont know about anybody else but when I take a buddy to a spot to hunt relics I'm always nervous that he might not find anything. So far I have not had that happen and Im glad. It is always nice just to get out and hang out with your buddies and do some relic hunting but it is icing on the cake when you start pulling relics out of the ground. Had a great time and glad you could go. We'll go again and hopefully have a repeat and maybe even better. You..........da...................man!
