Went to the fairgrounds

[attachment 121574 RobertsPark--racetrackarea3-24-20090012.jpg]Went to the fairgrounds, which is part of the city park, and checked around the amphitheater, and the racetrack. This area has been used for events since the early 1900's. Found alot of trash items, as it is on a hillside. Found a Hot Wheels car, a heart broach, which has some jewels missing. I am sure there are some good items there, just have to get my Garrett set up to pick up the good and let the trash go. I dig almost every good signal, as I don't want to miss out. Trying to learn the different tones. Maybe momma(Joan) will buy me one of them new fangled metal detectors that tells me what I am gonna dig up. I am not known for my patience, so maybe God is trying to teach me to be patient. Took a vacation day tomorrow(Friday), so might head back out to the park. Checked a new area there this afternoon, and found around $2.50 in clad and a pendant. Used Joans Bounty Hunter, and it did well.

good digs, nice pin, I'm sure there's lots more goodies there

What is the item above the heart? Does that car have red lines on the tires?

Patience does it grasshopper! :) Nice finds and keep on, keepin' on beeping and digging for the goodies! God Bless! Betty

The Hot Wheels car is a 1998 Double Vision. There are no marks on the tires that I can see. Don't know much about Hot Wheels, as I am into the old Matchbox cars. I had almost everyone when I was a kid. Finding the old ones brings back pleasant childhood memories. The button above the heart broach is a silver horse harness button. As I was leaving the area, I saw a guy that I go to church with, who is also a coin buyer/dealer and auctioneer, and he told me what it was.
