Congrats Steve... I'm working on the 2nd time. Once for the original loan and now for all the home improvement loans :) but it's worth it. It was cheaper than trying to find another house (and not being sure who your neighbors would be...) I'm blessed that i live in a VERY quiet area with nice people all around me ;)

congrats on being debt free on the house!!!!!! now dont go out and get new debt! as far as detectors go check out the new fisher and teknetics models.

It is good to not have to worry about a house payment. I thank God that Joan and I have a home that is paid off, and two almost new autos that we do not owe anything on. God has blessed us more than we sometimes realize.

Congrats wgSteve....Sure wish I could say mine is paid off, which it was at one time, but had to refinance twice to keep my head above water, since I live on SS income which isn't much and will be far less and also Medicare when BO gets through changing things for the worse and not for the better! Evil never begets good! But I praise God that I have been living in my home since 1974...and yet I need to make more repairs and sell it or the one I purchased in Cuba for my brother and I! Now that he is gone, I don't know quite yet what I am going to do....may try to sell them both, if I could just get things done without being so ill and achy from arthritis! Very difficult to get up and down stairs now! Thank You, Jesus, for being with me and providing my needs all these years after the divorce! Amen! God Bless! Betty
