Western Pouch spoils

Found this stuff this spring around and old homestead.

The fishing reel is chrome plated I think and has a 40 stamped on the bottom, thats the only writing I can see. Can anyone give me an idea on its age?

The p-caps and tacks and lead were found in a different camp.

Thanks for looking HH

Your reel resembles those made in the 1940s-50s. In your 3rd pic, there appears to be a pistol ball with a groove around it. If it is slightly elongated, with a groove around the center, it would be for a Walsh pocket revolver, and a good bullet to find. GH, David@Dixie
