Wet Ground Produces 4 Silvers

After several days of heavy rain and cooler temperatures, I hunted an 1895 country church. The ground was very moist and the targets were producing louder than normal signals. I hunted the non trashy areas with the F75 in Motion All Metal Mode. It was somewhat surprising to me that while the signals were fairly loud, they were giving lower than normal VDI numbers. All the coins were in the 5-7 inch range with the dimes reading between 67 and 70. The Wheat Pennys all gave readings in the upper 50's. The Indian Head gave a very loud 68 and I thought it was going to be a screw cap. The quarter size coin is an 1857 1/4 Florin from Austria. It is made of .520 silver and gave a reading of 63-64. The F75 ran stable in the wet ground and I was able to run the Sensitivity between 88 and 90. The Wheats were all in the teens and I feel the church has been hunted quite a bit because of the lack of later date Wheats and silvers. I think the wet soil was definitely the reason for this successful hunt...Thanks for looking.

Very Nice! Was this with the stock coil?
Yes I was using the stock 11 inch double-D coil. Thanks for your input

Again, a great day of metal detecting. I agreed 100% with wet ground helping get better depth. Last year when I hooked that barber halve it was down around the 8" to 9" range and I barely got a signal and it was just after a nice soaking rain.

Nice bunch of coins there miserman. Nice to see your post and pic.
