Recently I have gone back to a difficult field to search in the past lots of small iron etc. Then I may get two finds in an hour but with the T2 it came alive again loads of small 19th century buttons. Don really want them but they are signals !! The last trip 1.5 hours lots of buttons again. Plus a Rose Farthing of the 17th Century a small 4th century Roman coin. 19th century thimble plus the three items that I show. The first is an Anglo Saxon Clothes hook circa 9th century A.D. the next a 4th Century Roman leather stud in Phallic form. These were good luck items at the time. Then a base silver memorial object. it would have had glass set into it then possibly some hair from a child or loved one..I shall return !

Very nice finds Brian

I take it that silver item shown would be the precursor to a 20th century locket?
