Just prefect day for detecting. Had a great time digging and finding. Of all things to find I find a penny key chain. I think I should change my user name to Pennyman. Wow. Got another mood ring and a broken heart, a care workers pin.... Thanks for looking....Z

Holy %*%^&*@, that is a bunch of cents. That's "once :biggrin:in a blue moon." Good hunt Z. HH jim tn

From all that Bending & Digging Z.........

Wow! Thats penny park alright. whats a Care worker? Some sort of person who walks around and asks folks if they are OK?
Mud

Wow, I've had penny days, not to bad until they are all 6" deep.:goodnight:

Thanks Jim but I am already looking forward to the next blue moon. I wasn't prepared for this one. Maybe next one (3 years) I will triple my penny count?

El I don't have anything to say about getting tired. My knees tell me in no uncertain terms when it is time to quit. I can try to push myself to go a little longer but my knees just don't want to work that movement of getting up and down any longer. I just can't get up without a lot of effort. Time to go home. :stretcher: By the way my trick is to rub coconut oil on my knees every morning when I get up. It works for me.....

Mud: This hunt wasn't even at the penny park. A care worker is a person who cares if you give them money?

Markg: Some of these coins were in the 4-5" range. F70 doesn't ID that good starting at that depth. So you have to know the detector and know when the numbers are all over the place but you have a good tone. A person might want to dig that signal. Remember my setting are for a depth of about 3" so I am surpassing my set limits and coil but still the F70 is picking these coins up.
F70: Sens@70, Thresh@-3, Disc@25, Tones@3H, Notch@tabs, Coil 6.5". Very good coin hunting settings.

I am up and ready to go hunting again this morning. Thanks for looking in.........Z

Be nice getting pennies like that when candy bars were 5 cents. We'd have been in our glory.

Man, that's a lot of knee bends. Thanks for posting your settings for us F70 users, I need all the help that I can get.

Steve O: When you found a pop bottle and got the 2 cents refund you were the richest kid in the gang. :bouncy:

Irsjr: Just go out there and have fun. It may take awhile to get the know the ropes. With lots and lots of practice digs. You will start to get it. Time and practice. The F70 is a good detector to work with. It is simple and reliable. Good hunting ......Z

Sure beats a boring workout at a fitness center and over the years saw some awful nice finds in that range including a diamond tennis bracelet to mention just one possibility....probably a 20 digit span on my F-5 from Zinc to wheatie...

Don't much care for walking for exercise and belonging to a club isn't my thing. Metal detecting is a great hobby with better benefits than just exercising. At this time in my life it is the best hobby I could have and when I am done I go home and sit in my chair and read an ebook... Thanks for looking in. .....Z
