What an emotional day I had, yesterday, in many different ways......

I struggled and finally was ready to go for my dr's visit! Didn't feel well at all and was short of breath by the time I was in the little room where patients get checked out! The office gal asked me about Cliff as she weighed me and took my blood pressure (100/69) so kinda lower than usual! Well, being sentimental and tender hearted because of his death and Thanksgiving, I started crying! Then when dr took my oxygen count and pulse rate with the snapping clothespin...thing-a-ma jig they use! I was low at first but then climbed to the low 90's! I had to walk around the back and then I was up to 94...still lower than 96-98 but okay! When I told him that I wasn't just depressed about Cliff's passing, but feeling ill and with the holidays, and running out of my anti-depressants which I needed to refill, I guess he misunderstood that I was going to go and get them filled after seeing him, so what did he do but give me anti-depressant samples, which I can't take along with what I've been taking and had refilled! I told him no more pain pills, but didn't know what these pills were until at night when I was reading the papers that came with them!

I stopped for gas for the car, as gas was $2.38 or 39 a gal and my tank was half- full, but don't like to get down below a half-tank with winter weather coming! I heard the gal inside say that the pump was a credit card or pre-payment one, so in I went to ask about and take care of what the problem was, as I don't use credit cards or prepay ahead of time! Well the pump I was at was okay and she was talking to someone at another pump! I didn't notice the pump number on mine! Got and paid for $10.59 worth of gas and went on to Walmart to get my prescriptions refilled and do some shopping for food! Well there was so much Christmas stuff out and I don't go shopping very often and since I don't know what is going to happen by next Christmas, I decided to buy gifts for my own and for my sister and sister-in-law and others! I had a cart full by the time I had to get my groceries, but managed to fit the food items into the cart and make sure they wouldn't harm anything for Christmas giving!

I then went to pick up my meds and to check out! Got checked out (very, very tired from walking in this Super Store and my feet hurt), but got it done....and then using my new debit card (I've never had one before) I found out it wouldn't work and tried it many times with my pin numbers, but I hadn't called to have it activated.....sooo ended up using a credit card that I dislike to use very much....for it is through HSBC and they have been doing me terrible with their greediness and not always my fault, but don't care! I was going to cancel it and hadn't as yet, so actually this was a blessing in disguise to still be able to use it or I would have had to leave everything there and then go back when my debit card was activated! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, for working that out for Your daughter, who is confused too many times!

Got my receipt and started to leave and lo and behold this terrible, terrible noise started all over the store....enough to burst babies, childrens and old peoples' eardrums! I hurried to get out as I didn't want the doors or store closed before I could leave! A So County policeman was talking on the phone and asked if anyone had called in a fire alarm, as they were going off like crazy! I left and don't know what happened after that! I loaded my car, went home and unloaded, hauled all the bags into family room and kitchen! Put the food items away and ate something, checked the Forum and then watched TV and relaxed for awhile....went to bed and slept pretty well until early, early morning...still was dark outside...went to bathroom and back to bed...slept some more and woke up before 8:30 am which is early for me to get up, but I did....now I'm on here and getting ready to pay some more bills....for life goes on until the Lord calls me Home! :)

Now, in all of this I remained as calm as I could....thanking everyone, including the doc, for helping me, as I had the store clerk and those waiting helping me! I kept apologising for holding up the line and for all the trouble the lady behind the register was having....they said that was okay and glad everything turned out okay! Do good, smile and the world will smile and do good to us! The check-out lady was not young....had white hair...but helped me load the bags into my cart!

What an emotional day and the Lord showing me and others how to be patient and kind to one another! I also said Merry Christmas and Happy Birthday to the elderly man (71) ringing the Salvation Army kettle bell, as I put another $1.00 in, for I try to do that whenever I am there, but don't go often! He will be off on his birthday the middle of Dec and has served the Salvation Army at the kettles for 51 years! Reminded me of Cliff in away, as he was nice, tall and thin like him! I also spoke to a young boy and told him he sure looked a lot like my nephew Scott and another younger little girl riding in the cart.....smiling and waving my fingers at her, as she was trying to hand me a can she was holding! Wished the young boy, You have a Merry Christmas, okay!! His parents never did say anything to me!

Now, I know they aren't supposed to speak to strangers and they didn't but they knew I wasn't going to hurt them and I would never, never hurt or harm a precious child or adult unless they were trying to hurt or harm a child, others or me! I am a protector and a caretaker, so I love others in Jesus' holy name!

Sorry for a long post...but I'm gabby and since I don't have many to talk to....just Jesus and myself, I write too much unless I'm gabbing on the phone....ask Mike and pennies for they can tell you about that! ;)  God Bless! Ma Betty

and there are effects up to 3 days before and 3 days after plus the day of the full moon.

Hey Ma, keep the long posts coming and gab all you want. We are here to listen.

You sure had an eventful day! Praise the Lord you can still do all that in a day! :)

You are right, Pete, as it has been light enough to go MD'ing at night, if a person wanted to! The moon was so bright that it looked like that white stuff was on the ground!  God Bless! Betty

Thank you, DK, and I forgot and left "J" out in the telephone calls! We had a nice conversation, too, while he and family were in IL! Sorry J, but Ma is older and forgetful to boot! : shrug: :)

I have so much to do and being addicted to my Computer, I think I'm going to have to just stay off it for awhile and get things done before Christmas and mailing cards and pkgs and wrapping what presents I did manage to buy, which is unusal for me the past few years, either I forget gift giving or mail money! Older folks who aren't well or their finances are low, know what I mean!

You all have been so nice and uplifting to me in more ways than one, that I sure do appreciate it and cannot thank you all enough! I would keep in touch though through Mike in MI by checking my email occassionaly! You see, I didn't get up until l:00 pm, today, as I felt so badly and slept too much but with the radio on I was awake enough to hear some good Christian talk shows! Praise God and Thank You, Jesus, that we still have radio and TV Christian stations....which are trying to be silenced by the fools of this world! God Bless! Betty

Thank you, me son, but it wasn't all day! I saw the dr after 2:00 pm and then did the rest! I was absolutely dragging my feet and so tired I couldn't think clearly and, Yes, I Praise God and Thank Jesus for the ability and strength to do what I am or have been doing! I woke up very sore from walking and lifting bags plus achiness and illness, Tue, but I will email you if and when I quit being on the Net so much and also playing games, which keeps my mind more alert and my fingers still working the keys, although I miss keys or double hit others and have to proofread and correct or none of you would be able to make sense of my posts!

I know there has to be more wrong with me than depression, stress and breathing problems which the dr keeps saying and when I get more ill than I am, I'm heading for the ER...but don't like to, as I know how expensive it will be should I have to be admitted to the hospital! I remember all of the bills Cliff had and I don't need them, as I've too many bills already! But don't worry about me, as I know myself better than anyone, except God Jehovah, Who is our All in all! Amen! God Bless! Betty

But as I was telling the Youth Group this evening, we can still be happy in Jesus despite our troubles. I'm sorry that things were not so good for you, but I know that I dont have to tell you that God is faithful and He is always with you!

Keep Looking UP Ms. Betty!!!

J.

Thank you, J, and I wake and get up at different time...depending on how much sleep I get during the night! I sleep best during the early mornings when most people get up and get busy! I have worked nights so many times while employed that I have trouble in going to sleep early and getting up early! The saying is: Early to bed and early to rise makes a man (woman) healthy, wealthy and wise! Sooooo, I guess that why I'm not any of those which the world believes! But I am spiritual healthy, wealthy and wise and that is what matters in the end of our lives! Amen!

May our blessed Lord bless you and your family mightily! Amen! God Bless! Betty

Well, it looks pretty when it first falls and covers everything, but I don't care for it to last more than a few days! Don't send it my way as yet.....don't want to shovel the walks and driveway, if my neighbors don't! They usually help me though, like I used to help my lady neighbor when she lived next door! Be careful and don't slip and fall and make your knee worse! But God is good and He sure is good to me! Praise His holy name, Jesus! Amen! God Bless! Betty

Thank you Rick for your prayers! God Bless and may you be able to go detecting, as yet, and find some really nice goodies and have a wonderful time with the family! Amen! God Bless! Ma Betty

the yard is covered in snow and says "Unassembled Snowman - take as much as you want" Pretty funny.

We have another coating on the car and ground this morning. Did get up some Christmas lights and again this year the kneeling Santa is watching oevr the baby Jesus so people can see it as they drive and walk by.

That is really funny and clever, as I would have never thought of that! Take all the white stuff you want and make you a snowman is one way to get rid of it without having to shovel!  God Bless! Betty
