I'm new here. I was wondering what are the top 25 coins to find and why those coins and not others?

the one's you wise you could find and to cross them off your list over the years you dig.Everyone wants to find a rare one and puts them high on the list.Most you won't find but all the cool finds you do make,make up for it by far.There's tons of cool finds out there Forrie,Hope you get hooked on the hobby and share your finds with us.A lot of us here on friends and find have been together for years and enjoy it when newbee's come on.So make your list and show us your finds as you cross the one's on Your list.

If you are just getting into the hobby, don't worry so much on the quality of the finds, they will come but they will not come quickly.

I want to find a gold half eagle! How easy would it be to find one of those?

Gold Half Eagle Is Not Easy To Find---In fact any Gold Coins are not easy to find--- I have been hunting since 1962 and have never Ever found a gold coin---Every time I go out I hope for a gold coin;one day I will find one---Most everything you do find is a treasure but you have to decide how much of a treasure it is---Just get out and see what shows up---If you are going to be a hunter the things you do find will be a treasure, If you want to look at it that way---I know I do---You want to find something good; Get your Body out where you think there would be something good and start looking---That's the only way to hopefully find Silver and Gold !

I have a friend that's been detecting for about twelve years and last summer he found a quarter eagle by some mines in nevada. On the same hunt he found a seated liberty quarter that was worth more than the gold piece. Good luck I hope you find the half eagle
