What are they?

The metal tool looks like it could be used to insert a stopper in a bottle.

The wooden tool looks like it could be used to keep a rocking chair in a fixed position.

Old Gopher John is just guessing.
 
The first item DOES look like a bottle capper or corker...The second item...I have no clue...???

The wooden item is a wagon jack, used to lift the wagon off the ground to remove a wheel. I used mine last year.
