What brand and type detector for wet sand and water

Only 2 decent choices for in the water, IMHO, Fisher CZ-20 /21 or an Excal. The BHID is "just ok" Pulse induction wastes so much time on deep bottle caps and hairpins, you'd find more with a VLF by covering 10 x the territory. If you have low mineralization, a pi won't do much anyway.

OK guys here we go.....I've been on the forums and reading for awhile now....I have a bhid 9.5 coil a couple years old its a good unit the lights are helpful with dig time red is iron....I have found some good
things with it in and out of the water I like it but I wish it had a little more depth...I recently purchased F75LTD it's a real powerhouse so now I'm thinking fisher brands...my question is this I know a lot of you guys have tried a wide variety of detectors so what are your thoughts and opinions on this......I also like to get out there chest deep at times.....thanks for info offered good luck hunting.......Dan

one more thing the excal 2 sounds good......maybe some others and pi's gotta make a decision soon the thaw is coming......hh

I am a PI user but have purchased a Sov GT and its great in the wet sand so now I use both machines depending on conditions... to find the deepest gold a PI is the way to go as long as the beach isn't iron infested...

How much difference in depth are we talking about between an excal and a PI? In inches.
