Monday I went in to work at 3:55 am. For those that may not know, I work for Publix Supermarkets. We all went inside to punch in (3 of us) for our 4am start time when a 4th member of our stock crew came running inside yelling that someone had just hit my truck in the parking lot ! We went running outside and I could see that there was obviously something very wrong in relation to where I had left my truck parked. It was about 75 yards away and who ever had hit it had already left the scene. Also keep in mind that there are 200+ parking spaces in this lot and only 4 vehicles present at 4am. The photos show the aftermath and what is left of my truck. The S.O.B. had to be going between 40 and 50 mph when he jumped the curbing, came across the island cutting a 5" diameter holly tree in half and then striking my truck square in the drivers' side door knocking my front end 15 ft. sideways. He then tried to leave the scene in reverse but the tree stump had him stuck (see the burn marks and dirt thrown up where his right, rear tire would have been), he them figured he couldn't back up so he put it into drive and proceeded forward around my tuck and Hauled butt leaving me to pick up the pieces of my truck that I just bought (used) in Feb. Still waiting to hear from the insurance adjuster to see if it will be totaled or not. I can't see it being fixed as the dash is buckled and the body panels are out of wack throughtout the vehicle. The tonneau cover is up because I'm getting my umpires equipment out of the back end. Anyway, that's how my Monday went, how was your day ?
