The MINELAB SD2200v2 For an all around detector?

I know Im probally pushing it....... Will it find Jewelery & coins?

Just a thought being that I do visit gold laden area's.... will it do good in parks....

Maybe beach too..

LOL Im being serious now....

Yeah it'll find the gold but you'll dig some deep holes in the process.
I was with a Minelab dealer who used a 3500 in Virginia on a relic hunt.
Takes some practice to determine ferrous from non ferrous but the depth is surely there.
Would NOT be my choice for jewelry hunting though !
Talk about HEAVY, the 2200 is over 5 pounds without even considering the extra battery pack you'll have on your waist.
Now if I was hunting nuggets that would be different all together, but then I would invest in Minelabs latest and greatest ... the GPX-4000.
In a dig everything world, a gold machine is the way to go, except the weight.

On the Beach I would say heck yeah, we did some testing of the 2200 on the beach and the 2200 hit on a gold baby ring, very small, at 19 inches.

Yep you're right...It WILL hit a baby ring that deep...it will also hit lead, copper, brass, zinc, steel, aluminum, iron...any metal in the ground...when they come up with some way to I.D. the type of metal it's hitting on, I'll be the first in line to buy one...Also the first to QUIT MY DAY JOB..TT

Well it is in all reality just a P.I. detector with no real discrimination. You sure won't miss anything, and you will dig some big holes in wet sand.

The first company that can come up with a good P.I. that has the ability to read the likely composition of the metal it is hitting on with a reasonable degree of accuracy, will no doubt reap huge profits on the technology...HH...TT

Well I guess I'll wait a Couple more months and I may just go with GPX-4000...

seems like every couple months I feel a need to splurge.....
