What do you all use as a carry bag?

I have been using the bag that Kellyco gave me free with my 1350 purchase. I have been looking to upgrade to something more substantial that offers real protection for my metal detector and accessories. I was looking at the Garrett bags and a treasure wise bag I have seen on ebay. Just curious as to what works best for others? I really like the new "Detectorist Backpack" that Garrett came out with this year, but you would have to break your machine completely down each time and reassemble on site. Any input would be appreciated.:garrett:

i looked at same back pack and still thining about it for my excalibur2 and my ace 250,i called kellyco and just ordered for 20 bucks another minlab bag for my goodies that i carry to the beach, itll work for now but i too am still looking for the ultimate back pack...even a back pack with a nice folding chair to stop and take a break with??? any ideas???jmo..

I have a number of bags from both detecting manufacturers and some after market universal bags. Also have a couple of deep hard gun cases for the long trips. If I'm storing any detectors in the hard cases, I also throw in some silica bags to help keep any moisture down during the wet seasons. I only found a few deep cases and I had to cut out some of the foam to make the detectors fit. I had a shortened case a couple years ago where the detector had to be broken down, and was still a tight fit.
Well I don't have a pickup truck (3-SUVs now) so I didn't have a need to hold on to the cases.
I haven't tried, but it almost looks like a couple of my bow cases might work if a detectors was collapsed/broken down.
I recall seeing some quality built Pelican cases. I think I saw them at Fry's Electronics a few years ago.

I have an old Dive bag that i carry
my tetctor in.. i just collpase it
and stow it .. I use an old army
knapsack i bought at the local army navy
store when i was about 13.. it stil works for
diggers etc . but I going to use an old
fishing vest this year and se hwo it works

:garrett:Got a friend that is a seamstress, conned her in to making me bags that fit each detector, It was a very simple thing for a seamstress, used the padded stuff like they use for jackets, and put handle for balance point of each beeper, someone that does seamstress work can do this like doodley and usually don't charge much since I let them use their old stock, since they are used to doing complicated things with fabric.:garrett:

Tesoro sells a large padded detector bag that you dont have to break down the detector to use, im sure would work with many models and sells for around 39.00...Markmac

Good idea! I have a full size bag from Kellyco (Came free with my tector purchase) but it's basically thin parachute type material with no padding. I just ordered a Garrett backpack and the all purpose carry bag, along with a probe and the 4.5 inch coil for my 1350. That should hold me for a while now.

Back seat of pickup. Small back pack for every thing else.

ok heres my carry bag.....works great for me...:clapping::detecting:

Hey buddy, I bring my little folding chair from KellyCo with me sometimes. It has a shoulder strap on it. I sling it over my shoulder and sometimes forget that I'm even carrying it because it is so light. It even has a zippered storage pouch that's really convenient to carry a sandwich and a bottle of water, etc.

Here's a link.

Happy Hunting!:)

I just use the Garrett bag my 2500 came in, but you do have to disassemble your detector. Unless I am traveling, I leave the detector assembled.
